CLARK, PAMPANGA – the Bureau of Local Employment, in cooperation with the DOLE Regional Office No. III, conducted its first Capacity Development training for 2019 that specifically focused on Basic Employment Services, Labor Market Information, and the issuance of Alien Employment Permit.
A total of ninety (90) participants, sixty-two (62) of which came from the DOLE Regional Offices and twenty-eight (28) from selected LGU Local Chief Executives and Managers of Public Employment Service Offices, attended the three-day training-cum-workshop activity at Royce Hotel, Pampanga on 1-3 April 2019.
During the capacity development training, both DOLE Regional counterparts and LGU participants were updated of the current developments in the delivery of DOLE employment facilitation services particularly on PESO-related programs, Job Fairs, Labor Market Information and analysis, and on the issuance of Alien Employment Permits.
Throughout the learning sessions, participants were given the opportunity to both grasp and suggest changes to the policies discussed which proved to be an effective way to optimize delivery of services by consolidating and inculcating field experiences to narrow down best practices of each Region and LGU towards application on currently existing policies.
The Bureau, through capacity development trainings, will continue to tread a path towards promoting and ensuring quality policy implementation most especially in far-flung areas that can be effectively reached by DOLE Regional implementers with the assistance of our LGU stakeholders.
