Induction of NFCGAP Officers

 

The DOLE, together with the members of the CGAP-Working Group which include the DOLE, DepEd, DOST, CHED, TESDA, and PRC, has inducted the officers of the National Federation of Career Guidance Advocates of the Philippines (NFCGAP) last 17 December 2013.

The sixteen newly-elected NFCGAP officers were successfully inducted by Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz, witnessed by both PRC Chairperson Teresita R. Manzala, and Undersecretary Danilo P. Cruz. Officers from regions 4B, 6, and 8 were not able to attend the said oath-taking.

The following are the inducted NFCGAP officers: (1) Bonifacio N. Mercado, Jr., President; (2) Ermah Sheila L. Roble, Executive Vice President; (3) Wilfredo B. Mina, Vice President for Luzon; (4) Perfecto L. Anquilo, Vice President for Visayas; (5) Rosemarie Banquerigo, Vice President for Mindanao; (6) Noemi Soliven, Secretary; (7) Ester Mojica, Treasurer; (8) Ferdinand Colliflores, Auditor; (9) Oscar C. Linga, PIO; (10) Priscila R. De Guzman, Member, Board of Trustees; (11) Melita Loida S. Catungal, Member, Board of Trustees; (12) Jocelyn J. Balcos, Member, Board of Trustees; (13) Franklin O. Arcilla, Member, Board of Trustees; (14) Maria Lucy Muralla, Member, Board of Trustees; (15) Eliza M. Suarez, Member, Board of Trustees; and (16) Maristela C. Gales, Member, Board of Trustees.

NGCGAP was organized on 13 September 2013 at the Occupational Safety and Health Center, Diliman, Quezon City, during the 1st Capacity-Building Seminar Workshop for Registered Guidance Counselors and Career Advocates organized by BLE in cooperation with PRC.

The overall aim of the creation of the NFCGAP is to oversee all the activities of regional networks of guidance counselors which the DOLE started organizing in 2008. To date, there are more than 80 NGCs with about 3,000 members in all 16 regions in the country.
